Submission Guidelines

Many of the stories and photos that appear in Clark 24/7 are submitted by members of the college community. These submissions are invited and welcome, as they help inform members of the college community – and the community at large – of the positive work being done on behalf of the college and its students.

To submit proposed articles, please contact Communications and Marketing for directions on how to become a WordPress contributor to this site.
Please keep in mind the following when submitting items for consideration:

  • In general, submissions should be sent no later than one week following an event to ensure timeliness.
  • Please keep the submission to fewer than 400 words. Please include what happened, when and where it happened, who participated, and why it is interesting. If you have any quotes from people who participated, please include them along with the person’s full name and title/description (e.g., “nursing student Jesse Jones,” “President Dr. Karin Edwards,” etc.).
  • If photos are submitted, please also provide the name of the individual who took the photos to be listed in the credits. Any photos submitted – especially those featuring children or other sensitive populations – may also require a release form to be included for publication.
  • Submissions must be primarily related to, include, or otherwise feature some aspect of the college and relate to the primary mission and vision of the college. This may be at the college level, department/unit level, program level, or employee level.
  • Submissions of personal information unrelated to the college employee’s role, position or performance of such position will not be published. For information on submissions recognizing employees, please see “Penguin Patter”.
  • All stories and photos that appear in Clark 24/7 may be shared with the Clark College Foundation in support of their efforts to advocate on behalf of the college and its students.
  • By submitting information and/or photos for Clark 24/7, you are providing permission to the college and the foundation to share them both at the college and with the greater community.
